If you want high quality, thick, designer curtains... then you're going to have to pay more than the $30 something each pair of these costs. But if you want affordable curtains that look nice, these are terrific! I have them along a large pair of windows in the family room, and a smaller single window in the same room and am quite pleased with how they look and hang.I did not notice a heavy amount of static out of the packaging (yes, they are wrinkled in places- they are folded in a bag, wrinkles should be expected!) I hung them as they are, many wrinkles are falling out on their own, I may take a steamer to them later on to get those that are more stubborn. As far as the reviewer that said the sheers stick... I havent experienced that - they are against fairly rough bamboo blinds, and although i dont open and close them often, I have not noticed any snagging. The quality feels better than what I expected (again for a $30 something curtain, I am not expecting super high quality). I also did not notice a strong plastic smell, although some i would expect simply because of the packaging. The tag does say its machine washable, so if you are super sensitive t the smell, or the static is too much for you - toss them in the wash on gentle and tumble dry them with a dryer sheet! I would actually only partially dry them on lowest setting, hang them, then let them air dry on the rod so as to avoid any possible shrinkage.In the photo, part of the valance and coloring looks white (on my computer) - in person it is more of a light tan/ cream color.These are not room darkening curtains - you can see light through them (as you can with most curtains). If you want room darkening/ blackout curtains - buy room darkening/ blackout curtains- not these.Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and would not hesitate to purchase them again. They look nice in the room and tie things together well.

These were an ok price for what you get. The fabric is a little thin, so if you're like me and don't have blinds, the light comes right through the curtains. The only plus is I have the matching bed set, even though that was a bust. I do like the two piece backing so I can pull the top layer back and have the sheer layer still down.

When I took this out of the bag OMG the amount of static was unbelievable...I washed it and it did eliminate a significant amount. The Sheer backing is too cheap, if it touches a non-smooth surface (like my window sile) the sheer backing clings on and when you try to pull it off, the "strings" in the sheer pull and wrinkles up, then you have to stretch it out and you still see where the wrinkle occurred...:o(The design on top is nice though...
